Canadian Wholesale Sales Bounce Back In February

Canadian wholesale sales unexpectedly rose in February, rebounding from a decline in the previous month, official data from Statistics Canada showed Monday.

Wholesale sales rose 1.6 percent in February to C$48.5 billion, followed a 1.1 percent decline in January.

U.S. Initial Jobless Claims Fall To 357,000, Lowest Level In Four Years

New U.S. claims for unemployment fell to the lowest levels in almost four years, according to figures released Thursday by the Labor Department.

For the week ending March 31, the level of new claims for unemployment came in at a seasonally adjusted level of 357,000, a decline of 6,000 from the previous week's revised average of 363,000.
